A bit of history: After their tremendous victories with the GT championship in 1962 many GTOs are used during the next years in the long distance rallyes, like the "Tour de France d'Automobile". The GTOs reach first-class successes also here: Victories and front places in the years 1963 and 64. The car with the starting number 172, shown here, wins the TdF in the year 64 among the pilots Lucien Bianchi/Georges Berger - one year before this particular car made 2nd place in the GT class and 4th overall at the 24 hours of Le Mans.
